Fundraiser
For several weeks in the fall, members come together to create plain pumpkins into holiday delights. A time when new friendships are made and old friends reconnect. The many projects we support throughout the year are funded by this one event. Hope to see you at the Patch!
The pumpkin sale takes place over several days in the middle of October, but the work at the patch begins in mid September.
An empty building space is donated for approximately one month each fall. This site becomes our workshop and sales location. Since 1984, we have relocated several times but our loyal customers find us and we continue to grow our mailing list every year.
In the past few years, we have painted, glazed and decorated approximately 800 pumpkins. A long way from our start 36 years ago, when we only painted 50 pumpkins.
This is a big team effort. From setting up the workspace, receiving and washing pumpkins; drawing; painting; glazing; embellishing; finished pumpkins display; sales; inventory and packing up supplies for next year. We need help in all areas. Come for an hour or stay all day. One day or every day. As much time as you can give us, we'd love to have you at the Patch.

Due to Covid-19, we have canceled the pumpkin patch fundraiser for this year. But thanks to our member Sherlyn Fortlage, whose creative juices were flowing for hours, this beautiful centerpiece will be available as a silent auction item on our Facebook page.
